"Relief" applies an effect of making the layer pop out from the screen. For example, you can apply it on a Title text to make it look like a 3D object.

First, add a Text. Open ①Tool Select window and select ②Text Tool.

Tap the Canvas, then tap ①Add Text.

Type your text and adjust ①Font, Size, Color, etc. and then tap ②✓ Button.

Open ①Layer window. Tap ②Add New Layer, and add a new layer on top of the text layer.

Open ①Tool Select window and select ②Filter.

Select ①Relief and change the Reference to ②Lower Layer.

Adjust ①Flatness, Height, and Smoothness as you like and tap ②✓ Button.

Next, let’s apply Drop Shadow. Select ①Drop Shadow and adjust ②Radius, Angle, and Distance as you like and tap ③✓ Button.

Open ①Layer window and ②Hide the text layer. You can add your favorite background to make the title look more three dimensional.

And you’re finished.
